⛳ A Coastal Classic: Nomads Tee Off at Muriwai Golf Club
On Thursday, 16th of October, 28 Nomads gathered for a spectacular afternoon of golf at the stunning Muriwai Golf Club. Nestled along Auckland’s rugged west coast, Muriwai offered the perfect blend of challenge and charm with its windswept dunes, native vegetation, and panoramic views of the Tasman Sea. There was an early shower of rain but this quickly passed into perfect weather with a light south west wind blowing.
Muriwai Golf Club is renowned for its true links-style layout, making it the driest and most playable winter course in the region. Recent tree removal has enhanced its natural character, allowing the coastal terrain to shine through every fairway and green.
The Nomads Golf Club continues to uphold its mission of fellowship through golf. This event was no exception, bringing together members for an afternoon of friendly competition, shared stories, and scenic drives—both on the course and along the coast.
The after-match dinner was a great lamb curry with enormous naan bread and few wines and beers.
