The Nomads Golf Day, held on Thursday, 21 May, brought together a strong field of 39 players at the picturesque Titirangi Golf Club, creating a day marked by camaraderie, competition, and classic Nomads spirit. Titirangi, with its renowned Alister MacKenzie design and challenging layout, provided an excellent test of skill. The course conditions were firm and fair, rewarding accuracy while punishing anything wayward, and the autumn weather held steady enough to keep spirits high throughout the round.
Standout performances emerged across all divisions, with several players navigating Titirangi’s demanding greens and strategic bunkering impressively well.
As always, the day was about more than just golf. The post‑round gathering offered a chance to share stories, celebrate strong scores, and acknowledge those who contributed to the smooth running of the event. Prizegiving recognised both exceptional play and the light‑hearted moments that make Nomads outings memorable.
Overall, the event captured the essence of Nomads golf: fellowship, spirited competition, and support for the game and charity.
