DESCRIPTION:If you wish to bring a visitor please increase the number of sp
aces when you enter to greater than 1.\n\nDesigned by Chris Cochran of Nic
klaus Design and built by contractor Puddicombe Golf\, the new 27-hole fac
ility features three 9-hole circuits\, named Grange\, Tamaki and Middlemor
e\, and all of the greens incorporate state-of-the-art SubAir systems.\n\n
Holes on the Grange nine occupy ground that was previously on the 18-hole
Grange course. The Tamaki nine is split evenly between the Middlemore and
Grange properties – the par three 6th plays over the Tamaki Estuary –
while the Middlemore nine is more of a classic parkland design\, featuring
tree- lined fairways and slightly smaller greens.

SUMMARY:Whitford Golf Club 16 January 2025
DESCRIPTION:Whitford Park Golf Club (WPGC) is located in the stunning Whitf
ord Valley only a half hour drive from the centre of Auckland in New Zeala
nd.\n\nThe original land\, that was once an ostrich farm\, was acquired in
1967 for the Whitford Park Golf Club. The area was 254 acres\, of which 1
44 acres was developed into the golf course. The land cost at the time was
$180\,000.\n\nThe initial and enthusiastic Whitford Park Development Comm
ittee\, led by Jack Eccles\, established the Country Club concept\, acquir
ed the land\, planned the golf course and club\, identified funding arrang
ements and then secured the required members via a combination of Debentur
 e ($330.00) or $100.00 subscription including a $50.00 joining fee.\n\nThe
conceptual vision for the Country Club\, that included club rooms\, resta
 urant\, an 18 hole golf course\, tennis courts\, squash courts\, swimming
pool\, children's play grounds and horse riding trails. The concept had it
s origins in the USA\, where country clubs had proven popular.\n\nAt the t
ime Golf in NZ was booming and the target membership of 750 was readily fi
lled.\n\nWithin the first two years the club boasted an 18 hole golf cours
e\, a large swimming pool\, clubhouse facilities and two tennis courts and
negotiations were under way with a number of golf professionals.\n\nThe g
round work was in place for a very successful recreational venture\, that
 many may have thought was ahead of its time.\n\n&nbsp\;

SUMMARY:Howick Golf Club Wed 19 March 2025
DESCRIPTION:History of Howick Golf Club\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1934\nIt all began w
hen a 'Public Meeting' was held at Miss Rathbone's residence on Tuesday 3
rd April 1934.\nEight people attended. Local farmer\, Cecil Litten\, offer
ed 45 acres for development of a 9 hole course where the Shelly Park Prima
ry School and reserve are now situated. Subscriptions = 7/6 Ladies\, 10/-
Men.\n\n1946\nAfter being in recess during the WWII years\, the club lease
d 100 acres from local farmers Archie Somerville and Robbie Nichols to dev
elop an 18 hole course near Litten Road where Howick College is now situat
ed. Extensive work and frequent working bees prepared the new course for '
Opening Day' 12 April 1947. Membership of the Howick Golf Club flourished
over the next 6 years but crippling lease costs forced the Club to look el
sewhere for a more permanent location.\n\n1953\nMusick Point Air Radio Sta
tion was identified as having 98 acres of vacant scrubland that was suita
ble to develop into an 18 hole course and negotiations lead to a lease bei
ng signed with the Crown for an annual rental of 120 pounds per annum. Wor
k on the new course proceeded through 1953 and 1954 with extensive earthwo
rks and thousands of hours of voluntary labour clearing the gorse and scru
b and planting grass seed and trees.\nThe first game at Musick Point was 3
 0th October 1954\, being 15 holes\, officially ending the current season a
nd marking the transition from the Litten Road course.\nWhat vision they a
 ll had!\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Akarana Golf Club Tues 15 April 2025
DESCRIPTION:Akarana Golf Club is only 15 minutes from downtown Auckland. It
is most likely the busiest golf course in the region. Located in Mount Ro
skill the club was incorporated in 1927. A parkland course which although
not long provides an interesting challenge.\n\nImmaculate presentation and
a friendly golf course for all levels of player. The course is played as
part of the Charles Tour\, acknowledging it’s quality.\n\nThe continual
upgrading of the course makes it a quality playable course all year round.
The front 9 is short with a couple of tricky par 3’s to test your love
of water. The back 9 is longer and tougher so score well early and hold on
til the 18th where you will be rewarded with great finishing hole up to t
he clubhouse. Inside the club house you will find welcoming staff and grea
 t food ( and beverage)

SUMMARY:Tieke Golf Club Thurs 17 July 2025 11.30am
DESCRIPTION:Described by golfers as a truly unique riverbed masterpiece.\nT
here is nothing like it in New Zealand.\n\nAlong the banks of the mighty W
aikato River is New Zealand’s latest golf experience.\n\nWelcome to the
Tieke Golf experience.\n\nTieke Golf Estate was opened to visitors in 2022
and has quickly become one of New Zealand's most sought-after golf experi
ences.\nCrafted out of sand from the original riverbed of NZ’s mightiest
river. Tieke uses the natural river sand\, fine fescue turf\, creeping be
nt grass putting surfaces\, and a sensational design to provide a wonderfu
l golfing experience for all levels of golfer. Tieke provides a special bl
end of links and private valley golf\, leaving a feeling that you are the
only golfers on the course.\n\nThe intention is for the ground game to be
considered where a well-played “bump and run” shot will be equally rew
arded as a skilfully played lofted wedge. The style of golf akin to what
’s played on a coastal links despite being more than 50 kms from the nea
rest beach. The visual appearance of the expansive sandy wastelands adds a
striking and very distinct character to the course that is a nod to the w
hakapapa or history of the land.

DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n“Project Legacy” got under way in 2017\, schedu
led to be conducted in two phases\, the first of which entailed the constr
uction of thirteen new holes on the former Grange course\, the building of
two bridges across the estuary between the two properties\, and a new clu
bhouse.\n\nPhase two of the development then saw the balance of the holes
constructed on the Middlemore property\, along with the driving range\, wi
th all the work completed in early 2021.\n\nDesigned by Chris Cochran of N
icklaus Design and built by contractor Puddicombe Golf\, the new 27-hole f
acility features three 9-hole circuits\, named Grange\, Tamaki and Middlem
ore\, and all of the greens incorporate state-of-the-art SubAir systems.\n
\nHoles on the Grange nine occupy ground that was previously on the 18-hol
e Grange course. The Tamaki nine is split evenly between the Middlemore an
d Grange properties – the par three 6th plays over the Tamaki Estuary
 – while the Middlemore nine is more of a classic parkland design\, featu
ring tree- lined fairways and slightly smaller greens.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Pukekohe Golf Club Thurs 18th September - Entries Close Mon 15 Sept
  5pm
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nFormed in 1912\, Pukekohe Golf Club enjoyed something
of a nomadic existence during its formative years\, laying down roots at
several locations before finally finding a permanent home within an old Ka
raka dairy farm.\n\nIrishman and former engineer Charles Redhead – who w
ould eventually design or redesign other top Kiwi courses such as New Ply
mouth\, Rotorua andManawatu – was engaged to lay out the fairways on
the new course and it duly opened for play on 29th April 1939.\n\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nCommander John Harris made several changes in the mid-1960s\, resu
lting in major modifications to holes 6\, 13 and 14\, all of which had bee
n subject to flooding from time to time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrant Puddicombe
’s Canadian design company was called in to implement further improvemen
ts in 2003 and this work entailed expanding lakes (on holes 4\, 6 and 14)
and removing a significant number of trees around the course.\n\n\n\n\n\n\
n\n\nA favourite hole of many is “Lookout\,” the 439-yard par four 12t
h\, where the S-shaped fairway suits a slightly faded tee shot\, allowing
the best approach to a long\, offset green that’s protected by a small b
unker to the left and a steep bank to the right.\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Muriwai Golf Club Thursday 16 October 2025 12.30 Tee off
DESCRIPTION:If you haven't played at Muriwai for a few months you will see
many changes since you were last there. Muriwai has spent a lot of time an
d money in removing old trees and also unnecessary trees to make it a true
links course. It is in great condition and has been very popular through
the winter as the driest course in Auckland.\nThe Muriwai Golf Club was fo
rmed in 1956 and the course – originally designed by Harold Babbage –
opened for play in 1960. Designers John Bourke and Alex Glasgow were commi
ssioned to renovate the links between 1996 and 2003.\nRouted among dunes\,
heather and pines\, with breathtaking views of the Tasman Sea from every
hole\, you could be forgiven for thinking you’re playing a traditional B
ritish links course. Muriwai stretches out to 6\,765 yards (6\,186m) from
the tips and when the wind whips across these naturally undulating fairway
s\, playing to handicap can be an uncomfortable challenge.\nThe club is pr
oud to state that the course never closes\, as the links turf drains freel
y\, but nature has forced some changes over the past decade due to coastal
erosion. Several new holes have been created and these have become some o
f the toughest on the card\, especially when the wind is blowing.\nThe Mur
iwai Open is a recent (2010)\, additional venue on the Charles Tour\, whic
h was created by former Kiwi tour professional Greg Turner to provide auth
entic\, preparatory competition for golfers wanting an overseas career.
“Part of Greg Turner's aims was to play this tour on traditional and tes
ting New Zealand golf courses. The addition of this marvellous links cours
e at Muriwai is very much in keeping with those goals to really test our b
est players.” Said New Zealand Golf’s acting CEO\, Dean Murphy.\nThe M
uriwai clubhouse stands on the highest point of the course\, overlooking t
he finishing hole. It boasts some of the most spectacular views of any clu
bhouse in New Zealand and is the perfect place for post-round refreshments

he Peninsula Golf Club. In 2009\, Peninsula members voted to take the opti
on of selling their Red Beach golf course to developers\, who in turn prov
ided them with a new golf course and clubhouse three miles inland. A new i
dentity was also chosen – the Maori word ‘wainui’ roughly translates
as ‘big water’.\n\nGrant Puddicombe and his team at Puddicombe Golf w
ere brought in to design the course (their previous portfolio includes Ter

ey were given a piece of rolling farmland to work with\, punctuated by two

verlooked by the impressive new clubhouse from its perch above the 9th and

nCape Kidnappers (Hawke’s Bay)\n\nThe American designer of Cape Kidnappe
rs\, Tom Doak\, who is also well known for his prize-winning courses in th
e US\, has said that\, 'If Cape Kidnappers were a book it would be an epic
. Enjoy your game and enjoy the setting (because) you may never play golf
somewhere like this again'. Like Kauri Cliffs\, Cape Kidnappers plays abov
e the ocean\, atop dramatic cliffs\, but unlike Kauri Cliffs\, where the s
hape of the land dictates play along the shoreline\, this course runs to a
nd from the edge. Cape Kidnappers is built on a ridge-and-valley landscape
with spectacular sea views.\n\n Hastings Golf Club (Bridge Pa)\nThe pres
ent course located at Bridge Pa was not established until 1912\, and prior
to that\, the club had several different homes.\nWith persistence from ac
tive club members\, as well as skilful Greenkeepers\, conditions and membe
rship blossomed at Bridge Pa. By 1947\, the land had been tamed\, and a de
cision was made to take Bridge Pa to the next level\, with the decision to
seek the New Zealand Championships.\nWhile the changes to Bridge Pa initi
ated by Skittrup and Harold Christie took some time to develop (and for pl
ayers to adjust to)\, by midway through the 1970s the Hastings course was
being hailed as something special\, not just by people from other parts of
Hawke's Bay and New Zealand\, but overseas as well.\nThroughout the 1980
’s the course continued to develop. It was recognised as one of the coun
try’s premier layouts\, and hosted many high profile events over the sub
sequent years. Hastings Golf Club has been a venue for every major nationa
l tournament. This is a remarkable record for the club\, and a fitting tri
bute to those responsible for the care and maintenance of the course\, as
well as those members who dedicated time to organising these prestigious e
 vents.\nWairakei Golf + Sanctuary (Taupo)\n\nOfficially opened February 19
70 by the Tourist Hotel Corporation.  Special guests including the Minist
er of Tourism Hon. H. J Walker were invited to an exhibition match followe
d by a celebratory luncheon.  Today\, the basic layout of the golf course
remains true to the original design of Commander John Harris\, Michael Wo
lveridge and Peter Thomson.  Ownership has changed but the drive to provi
de a world class golfing experience continues.  There have been many enha
ncements to the golf course environment including a strong focus on conser
vation and providing a predator free sanctuary for wildlife.\n\nTieke Golf
Estate\nTieke Golf Estate is New Zealand’s latest golf experience: a ri
verbed masterpiece\, crafted from the original bed of Aotearoa’s longest
  river.\nWith natural river sand\, fine fescue turf\, and a world-class de
sign\, Tieke delivers a blend of links and private valley golf that leaves
you feeling like the only ones on the course.\nSince opening in late 2021
\, Tieke has quickly earned marquee course status and a place in New Zeala
 nd’s Top 20 Golf Courses.\n&nbsp\;

SUMMARY:Presidents Cup Tournament July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Nomads International Presidents Cup\, Batam Island\, Indonesia
13-18 July 2026\nFellow Nomads - The Nomads Trans-Tasman Cup (Our Ryder Cu
p Format) played between New Zealand and Australia annually\, will now be
played every second year in the actual year the International Ryder Cup is
played. This means Australia will next host this Trans-Tasman Cup in 2027
.\nTo fill in the biennial void\, we are proposing a Nomads Presidents Cup
Format Golf Tournament played over 4 days on the Indonesian Island of Bat
am situated 1 hour south east of Singapore. The proposal is that there are
3 teams of 16 players in each team from Australia\, New Zealand and Inter
nationals. These teams will be headed by a playing Captain. We will compet
e for this Presidents Cup every 2 years in an affordable foreign country.
So\, it is envisaged that New Zealand will host in 2028 and the Internatio
nals in 2030.\nThe dates for the First Presidents Cup to be organised and
hosted by Australia Arrival 13th July to departure 18th July 2026.\nThe in
formation provided below is to support the expression of interest for this
proposal to host an amended Nomads Presidents Cup format every 2 years. T
he actual "Expression of Interest Form" to be filled by you and submitted
is attached.\nThe format would be a 4-day tournament with Nomads Australia
\, Nomads New Zealand and an International Nomad team from Southern Africa
and the United Kingdom competing against each other every 2 years. Each t
eam will send 16 players to compete. Each team will have a Captain control
ling the draw on a daily basis and selection of their players for each day
's event.\nThis invitation is exclusively for Nomads only. Whilst we as No
mads are organising this tournament and because this is to be played out o
f our geographical Nomad jurisdictions\, we cannot use the Nomads logo but
can call it the Nomad Presidents Cup. We will not be wearing number 1's a
t this tournament - less baggage!!. It stands to reason however\, that our
roots of Nomads discipline and behaviour will applying in a foreign count
ry and hope that we would all adhere to these principles.\nThe Nomads hand
icap for each player will be allocated for the entire tournament. This han
dicap will be calculated as per the system in place that is in use for a N
omads National Tournament. The Nomads scoring system will be used for all
4 formats of the competition. For the hole scoring - 2 under par =4 point
 s\, 1 under par = 3 points\, Par = 2 points\, 1 over par =1 point. For th
e team games\, the combined adjusted handicap will be added to the combine
d total scored by the team or individual. This will determine the result o
f the game. These scores will be cumulative for the duration of the tourna
 ment.\n\nThe Format \n\n Day 1 - 2 Ball Ambrose - 12 games played in 2 ba
ll teams. The Game - Both players tee off and the team chooses the best sh
ot. Players then place their balls within a card length of the chosen ball
not nearer the hole and hit their 2nd shot from that position. This conti
nues until the ball is holed with the team using the best shot for each su
bsequent stroke. Placement of the ball on the putting surface\, must be wi
thin a putter club face not nearer the hole from the chosen position. The
2-player team needs to use 9 tee shots each. The handicap is calculated by
adding the 2-player team handicaps together and divide by 4 to give the t
eam handicap. The actual score of the 2-player team is recorded per hole a
s per the Nomads scoring system then the combined adjusted handicap is add
ed to the tally after the game and submitted to the scorer.\n Day 2 - Fou
rsomes or Alternate Shot - 12 games played in 2 ball teams. The Game - The
players on each team of 2 alternate hitting a single ball. One player wil
l tee off on odd numbered holes and the other tees off on even numbered ho
les. After the drive\, the team continues to alternate shots until the bal
l is holed out. The actual score for the team is recorded per hole as per
the Nomads scoring system to be tallied after the game and submitted to th
e scorer. The handicap is calculated by adding the 2-player team handicaps
together and divide by 4 to give the team handicap.\n Day 3 - Betterball
  - 12 games played in 2 ball teams. The Game - The players on each team of
2\, play their own ball to completion on the hole. The handicap to be use
d in this format is calculated by adding the 2-player team handicaps toget
her and divide by 4 to give the team handicap. The team player with the hi
gher points as per the Nomads system records the score. The actual score i
s recorded per hole as per the Nomads scoring system then the combined adj
usted handicap is added to the tally after the game and submitted to the s
corer.\n Day 4 - Individual Medal Stableford Competition - played in 3 ba
lls - 16 game. The Game - The player plays their own ball to completion on
the hole and scores points as per the Nomads format. The handicap is not
adjusted and is as per the tournament starting handicap. The player record
s his score and points then adds the handicap on completion of the game an
d submits this scorecard to the scorer.\n\nArrangements and Costs package

Singapore on the 13th July 2026. 3 arrival time slots will be allocated o

pai\, the narrow\, tree-lined fairways at Huapai Golf Club have been in pl
ay since the late 1930s\, when the original course was set out.\n\nMany ch
anges have been made across the 115-acre property since then\, of course\,
  but it’s reckoned holes 1\, 2\, 4\, 9 and 15 remain largely intact from
the initial layout that Dr. Merv Harris put in place as World War II got
under way.\n\nToday\, the course extends to almost 6\,000 metres from the
back tees\, with par set at 70 (35 out then 35 in). Water comes into play
just a few times: a central irrigation lake lies between holes 4\, 6 and 1
8 and a similar hazard is positioned between the 12th and 13th.\n\nHighlig
hts include the tough par four 5th (rated stroke index 2)\; the long par t
hree 10th (overlooking the Upper Waitemata Harbour)\; and the par five 18t
h which veers slightly right towards the home green\, with water to the ri
ght and out of bounds to the left of the fairway.\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Akarana Golf Club Thursday 22 October 2026
Inside the club house you will find welcoming staff and grea
 t food and beverage

SUMMARY:North Shore Golf Club Thursday 19 November 2026
DESCRIPTION:North Shore Golf Club was established in 1931\, with golfers pl
aying on a site just outside Auckland in Takapuna. In the late 1950s\, the
course was under threat from motorway works for the Auckland Harbour Brid
ge so a decision was made to relocate eight kilometres northwest to Albany
.\n\nThankfully\, the old site which was left behind wasn’t completely o
bliterated and the municipal Takapuna Golf Course still operates there\, a
ttracting more than 60\,000 rounds of golf annually.\n\nOver the years\, a
n extensive drainage system was installed at Albany to overcome the sodden
state of the fairways which can occur with heavy rain on the North Shore
clays and a fairway watering system was introduced in the mid-1990s to fur
ther enhance playing conditions.\n\nThere are 27 holes in operation at the
  club.
